6.10.58: Temporarily enable tasks?
(Message 35841)
Posted 23 Nov 2010 by hmmwhatsthisdo Post: Is there any quick way to temporarily enable BOINC tasks, even though the computer is 'in use'? If I'm doing mundane tasks like listening to music or writing a paper, then I probably won't notice BOINC running in the background. Would it be possible to bind a keyboard shortcut to temporarily override BOINC tasks (via a script, command, etc)? |

Question on BOINC CPU usage...
(Message 21474)
Posted 23 Nov 2008 by hmmwhatsthisdo Post: Hello all. I was wondering if it is possible to have BOINC run at a low CPU usage (not suspended) while I am working, and have it run at high CPU usage while I am idle(screensaver running). I know BOINC can be suspended during non-idle periods, but I have a 3GHz processor, and usually am using only 30% of it. Does anyone know how to do this, and what to do to enable it? |
