Same issue here. Running the latest download from BOINC and Win 8.1. Whenever a communication attempt is made I receive the "communication deferred" message and the countdown clock is reset to 23:59:59. "Scheduler request pending, Requested by project, Communication deferred hh:mm:ss" My only project is World Community grid. |

Thanks for the info. Just concerned that tasks could be processing elsewhere, rather than sitting in my queue. The buttons became active once a project ot task was selected. This is new behavior. Thanks again. |

Correction: the tasks are "Ready to start" and there are 14. |

Running 6.6.20 and I see that my task queue has exploded. I normally would have 2 to 4 tasks waiting to run. As of now I have 13! I tried to choose "No new tasks", but nearly all the command buttons are inactive except for "copy all messages". Is 6.6.21 coming soon? |

My event log is getting these entries at the clip of 2 every second. It has to be consuming resources. I'm running XP Home SP3. The microsoft writeup doesn't appear to match my OS. Any help to end these entries is appreciated.
