1) Message boards : BOINC client : Boinc Portable or sharing tasks between PCs (Message 60485) Posted 23 Feb 2015 by krusha03 Post: Is there a portable version of Boinc or a way to install it and run it from a USB disk? I have only found some really old versions circa 2008/2009. What I would like is to have Boinc with the tasks on a USB drive that I could in theory plug in into any PC that I have admin rights, run it and the work would continue where the previous PC has stopped. Is this possible? I have few laptops that I am using interchangeably and my work and uni pc. The reason why I want the task to be continued to another PC is because sometimes the task may expire until the next time I am using that particular pc / laptop.
