I realise you have no control over what the BOINC developers release. Download BOINC + VirtualBox for Windows 64-bit (91.56 MB) BOINC 7.6.33, VirtualBox 5.0.18 perhaps from you, in your position as a project, developer you can influence the BOINC developers to include the current VB in the installer.

It is a (mt). It has run for just over 9 hours (so almost 24 hours CPU time). It is past due and not "running high priority". Estimated time remaining is ---. Apparently the scheduler has no clue how to handle this situation. is there a fix?

10) Message boards : Questions and problems : burp running on 8 CPU and no GUP WU running (Message 46658) Posted 8 Dec 2012 by Stanley A Bourdon Post: Hi I understand that burp is hyper threaded there are at least 2 others ( simone, and yafu ) that do this. Why does this keep the GPU from working especially with the collatz units that run fine with all 8 cores running single thread units. Are there any changes being worked on to limit them to some number of cores less than all. A work around was described. It seams to be too much work to use in my situation. Actually yafu doesn't need all 8 cores to run..... if you trick it! 1. set all projects to no new work. 2. set ncpus in cc_config to # of cores you want to use for yafu. (5 or more) 3. read cc_config for change to take effect. 4. allow new work for yafu. 5. bump minimum work buffer up by 2 days in preferences. 6. downloaded yafu WUs only need # of cores entered in step 2, not all 8. 7. set ncpus back to 8 and repeat step 3. 8. drop minimum work buffer down by 2 days. 8. allow new work for other desired projects. 9. set yafu to no new work otherwise new WUs will take all 8 cores. 10. if needed, suspend any running tasks for a few seconds to get yafu started. This will keep you crunching yafu for a couple of days and allow GPU and other CPU tasks to run as well. I have not tried setting ncpus to 4 or less. It may allow multiple yafu tasks to run at the same time and defeat the goal. This process takes a few minutes and it would be far better if yafu had a way to select the # of cores in project preferences. Another method is to fire up a virtual machine with the number of cores you want for yafu.

I have 2 seti beta (0.995 CPUs + 1 ATI GPU) and 2 collatz conjecture (0.01 CPUs + 1 ATI GPU) not running. My memory is that with the other projects that took all 8 CPU the GPU still ran units. It's even too old for OpenCL 1.1 compliancy, as that requires at least 10.7 (1.4.737). Your GPU is an OpenCL 1.1 GPU. Everything is yelling at you that it needs OpenCL capability, but your GPU does not support it. Try to install a bit more up-to-date ones, first. No need to try the latest, but something more up-to-date than 10.3, please. 20) Message boards : Questions and problems : CPU and GPU goes cold (Message 46313) Posted 16 Nov 2012 by Stanley A Bourdon Post: Hi the situation is no better currently the GPU is not working but searching for a WU only 3 projects send work to my ATI card world community grid (all fail), Moo! Wrapper (works fine), Collatz Conjecture (works fine) the behavior as i see it a GPU unit runs, finishes, than the scheduler tries to get another one. So the GPU is not being used during that time. just checked and from completion of unit to finished download was 169 seconds so this time at least 169 seconds idle just checked and from completion of unit to finished download was 142 seconds so this time at least 142 seconds idle as i was composing this the cpu only had 5 units to work on. It is now full but no extra units are waiting to run. and a unit finished was uploaded and the scheduler is now searching for a WU with one instance of the CPU idle. At this time i have one unit in panic mode but this is same the behavior i see even when all are in normal running just checked and from completion of unit to finished download was 82 seconds so this time at least 82 seconds idle an additional situation has now arisen i have a WU waiting to run but only 7 cores being utilized ( this may be due to the WU in panic mode) and now 6 running 1 waiting and not trying to get more so 2 cpu idle I am attached to 94 projects about 20 of them are suspended or otherwise non functional. thease are the settings i have at BAM Processor usage Do work while computer is running on batteries?
