What's wrong with a broom, and a dustpan?

Ever tried to get animal fur out of a shaggy carpet with only a broom? Impossible.

Ever tried to get together all the feathers a moulting bird is dropping with a broom and dustpan?

I found having a sticky child around made it a lot easier. Gently rolled around the floor - very good. In fact...

Sticky children - I endorse them :)

Sticky children are the main reason I could never be a primary school teacher. They have stuff leaking out of every orifice.

We have solved that issue by having a cat the same colour as our carpet.

Matching clothes to a moult is good too :)

...

I took this pic of kitty yesterday because she looked so damn comfortable.

Notice she is not the same colour as her lazy boy chair. I have thrown something over the back of the chair to protect it, but as there are large patches on the chair in mismatched colours from where she was using it as a scratching post it doesn't seem to matter any more. She is the same colour as the carpet, but she doesn't like to sit on the carpet too much.

People sometimes ask me if I have pictures of my kids, so I spend ages scrolling through my phone only to confess that I can't find them, but I do have lots of pictures of my cats if that is any help.

I firmly believe that we could not
have a cat if we didn't own a Dyson!

edit:
I was going to have my IQ tested,
but I left it at home...

We have solved that issue by having a cat the same colour as our carpet.

You can uninstall KB3035583 You just have to go
to add/remove and chop it out of there....

I know that I can uninstall that one, as well as all other W10 prep crap, but as I said, I'm curious, and I want to see how the crime syndicate is going to handle this after the first "free year" :-)

Its an adventure!

I see MS is having a big update again for Windows 7. All highly suspect.
Optional: KB3092627, recommended.
Important: Security updates KB3069114, KB3083992, KB3084135, KB3086255, KB3087039 and KB3087918, and one for Windows 7: KB3083324.

I'll let them wait for a few days again until we know what they do. After KB3075851 became the new KB3035583 (initialize Win10 upgrade), it shows MS is trying lots of things to confuse you to install Win10 anyway. Keep an eye out, boys.

Great, MS themselves cannot even find KB3069114, but they do want to push that update on my system!
Greater, KB3083324 was pushed as an Optional to US Windows users, but is now promoted to Important!

I have done the upgrade to windows 10. Not sure what the fuss is about.

Everything still works. I am still able to use my 2007 version of office, which is good because I really don't like the new subscription version of office they have bought in. Mainly because when I buy something once I expect to keep it for ever and ever.

Now, my big question is will we have to pay a subscription to windows? I thought not, but the people are panicking.

Make it funny, it's a bad day here for me....

Okay, have had a bad week myself (lending moral support to a lovely family in Crown Court, still got 2 days to go :-( ) but on arriving home, got a lovely advance birthday gift :-)

Court can be stressful. Good for you being there for them.

It my nieces birthday coming up, and in recognition of how completely awesome she is, I have sent her a monogrammed purse/make up pouch. Although I suspect she will use it for storing computer peripherals.

Well, there was a hockey story from Sweden
about a Canadian accused of being too rough
during a game, or some such.
Let me tell you, this was picked up here in Canada
and that player has been effectively notified
by the Prime Minister that he may not return to
this country until he accepts a life time pension
and agreement to be inducted in to the Canadian Senate!

edit:
Serves him right We say...

LOL!

Happy very long work day!

Lessons planned: check
Worksheets printed out: Check
Photocopying done: mostly... I shall be playing photocopier roulette 10 minutes before the start of class.. Will it work? Won't it? I just do it for the adrenaline rush.
Lunch eaten: check
Emergency slice of cake packed: check.
Last perusal of the interwebs before leaving: check.

Enjoy the rest of your outage. I shall be explaining the joys of the independence of perpendicular vectors. What happens in the x-direction, stays in the the x-direction.

It was, Es, it was.

Winning

Still not over for me. Just taking a quick break before heading back to the chalk face.

Should we send out a search party?

Happy Birthday Mr Es99.

I will set foot in Canada for the first time in Calgary in June.

Not sure if that is winning for Canada.

Mr 99 says thank you for the all the Bday wishes.

Canada is lucky to have you, hopefully Calgary will have warmed up by June.

I shall make enquires as to how much mosquito repellent you will need.

Second post during the Outrage!!! :-)

Sirius beat me with his Edit.

So what happened to the Tardis?

Nothing happened to the TARDIS. You caught her mid flight from SETI@Home to BOINC and when she landed here, about 15 seconds transpired from your edit to my post. :-)

@ES,

Happy Birthday Mr. ES!!!!! :-)

Indeed! You've met him, so I shall pass on your birthday wishes!

I'm getting x=0.4m..but I'll double check that unless someone else wants to.

Then you can see my terrible algebra. Ha!

Late morning here. Its Mr 99's birthday day so we are supposed to be heading out to lunch later.

I have a sh*t load of marking to do and I am teaching night school tonight.

I don't mind the night school..I just really hate marking maths.

Its all fine and dandy until they get a question wrong, then you have wade through loads of incoherent algebra to find out where it went wrong for them.
