BOINC might be denied access by the firewall. But this is OS X - how in the world to change things here? It says that is open to everything?! Suggestions. BOINC cannot access internet (without proxy, which means that it can access the (inter)net) on its own. One thing I can try is to run BOINC in Parallels in OS X and see whether it works there. I still believe it is a DNS problem. Any other suggestions? K

I selected to connect via a proxy. et voila, 6.2.18 works like a charm with internet and everything. FYI: 204.60.65.36:8080 is the proxy that use(d). Thanks a lot for pondering my problem! Maybe we can test a new compile with old curl? It is really unclear to me why no one else has troubles with this?! There is no proxy server and I have tried different places for internet access. BOINCs from other systems on the same computer work fine.

Also tell where from you have this problem, is it home or work/school? If work or school... are you allowed to use BOINC on the work or school computer? Same problem here. For me it seems to be related to OS X. I run BOINC on Linux and Windows and Linux on the same computer. Does not work. Last version to work was 6.1.0. None after that. HTTP_1_0 does not help. Any suggestions? Koordinator
