Posted 14 Mar 2023 by Warped Post: Our website is currently down and we are looking into the root cause and a method to fix it. We will post a follow-up when it has been resolved. The latest news on WCG from their Twitter feed. Seems to be going backwards! |

Posted 2 Mar 2023 by Warped Post: No further news from the WCG team. Still down, very very deep down...... The lack of news (and progress) is somewhat concerning. Also, why would the forums be down at the same time? I thought they were hosted separately. |

Posted 29 Oct 2016 by Warped Post: Malariacontrol.net announced a few months back that they would not be sending new work in the foreseeable future. They were not sure how long it would be, possibly permanent. The website has now been offline for two days and I expect it is the end of the project. |

Posted 4 Feb 2014 by Warped Post: Now I see Rosetta is also offline: The site is showing signs of life. I must have missed this message: Jan 29, 2014 We will be moving the hardware that supports Rosetta@Home on Tuesday, Feb 4th within the datacenter here at the UW. This will require that the entire project be taken offline for the duration. While we will try to minimize the down-time, we are planning for the system being offline from 0800 PST until 1500 PST on the fourth. -KEL & DOVA |

Posted 16 Jul 2013 by Warped Post: Despite the fancy new website, CPDN seems to lurch from one crisis to the next. It amazes me that there is no government or UN support for such an important scientific endeavour. I understand the scientists use these models for reports to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change). |

Posted 9 Jul 2013 by Warped Post: OK -- Collatz is now back online Found this on Twitter: "World Community Grid @WCGrid. We are currently offline due to a severe storm in the Toronto, CA area where our servers are hosted." I note that the WCG Forums have also gone missing. They are hosted separately from the data servers. |

Posted 6 Jan 2012 by Warped Post: Rosetta@home: Status? Where can I get an updated staus on the project? I have a test invironment running and use rosetta@home to stress test virtuel servers :-) and need more workload and have a lot of result to transfer. I see an abbreviated homepage, with a message explaining the outage is now accessible but that is all. Don't expect anything until Monday. |

Posted 4 Jan 2012 by Warped Post: Rosetta remains blacked out this morning (6AM PDT) Indeed - still down (18h20 GMT/UTC). Based on previous experience with Rosetta, I expect we will not hear anything (e.g.at this forum) for a few days (up to a week) and then the site will come back with no explanation. |

Posted 22 Jan 2011 by Warped Post: WCG have just announced: Website and Grid Outage -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- There was a change that should have been non-impacting to our storage systems last night. Unfortunately, it actually was impacting. As a result, the database servers stopped and brought down both the website and the grid system. As you can see the website is back up and we are working on bring up the grid database now. At least we now know what is happening. |
