Hi, I've been trying to connect to climateprediction.net on and off, but the website is completely unresponsive. Forums inaccessible also. Are they ever coming back? Maybe they should open a discord/slack as not to rely on their own infrastructure? |

My CPU has an aftermarket cooler on it. Temps no problem. <60 celcius I've told the Boinc manager not to use GPU while computer is in use. After a few hours I can safely say that it doesn't help a 100%, but a hiccup once in a while (say: 2 times per hour) is not something I'll whine about. It might be an idea to tell users that GPU usage can cause problems like this. Especially with onboard graphics. Thanks for the info. |

Hi, I've always been under the impression that the Boinc client (and the processes springing from it) run as "low priority" under Windows. I've been running Boinc/Setiathome on my I5-3570K. Streaming a radiostation from the internet becomes slow, and even the redrawing of the desktop slows down. Can someone tell me if I missed a setting or something like that? Sincerely, Thomas |
