The defrag seems to have helped. The forums seem snappier.

I haven't searched the thread for it, but the front page said the outage would be longer
as they are defragmenting the database.

I used to like watching the colorful progress indicator on the older versions of Defrag.

That's a beautiful clock, Richard.

Here's a nice horology article -

I like a good reuben. Isn't kimchi sort of like Korean sauerkraut?

Guinness is my beer of choice, and it is best enjoyed rather warm compared to others.

Yes, I might as well go to bed. Planning on going to Hobby Lobby in the morning for some Christmas shopping. :~)

They had "Money Trees" for sale in Trader Joe's today. I have never seen such a thing. It looked like a pot plant to me.

Just got back from voting and a visit to a new novelty shop near me called The Marvelous Mystery. It has a "vortex tunnel" in it that you walk through and it feels like you're being pulled in one direction as the walls spin around you, but in reality the floor is not moving.

Wow, this is a long one, indeed. Just finished up with Halloween eve, here. First time in my life they ever told people on the news to be open for trick or treaters on the night before, but a lot of rain is predicted for tomorrow. I'll post some pictures on SETI if it comes back up before my bedtime.

Trick or treating is coming a night early for my neck of the woods due to a forecast for heavy rain on Halloween.

Time to carve the pumpkin!

It does seem like it's been a long time, today. I wonder what the hold up is?

I just watched a nice short film on Turner Classic Movies that showed some really cool motion pictures of the moon rover in operation on the lunar surface. It's funny because I also just recently heard an interview with a former astronaut(I can't remember who it was) who said it was just a job to him. He didn't have any interest in space exploration and didn't feel anything special about the moon missions. He just liked being a pilot. I think a lot of us romanticize space travel - I know I do.

WKRP comes on at 9:30 pm, on Me Tv, here in my Eastern time zone.

I liked Bailey:
