BOINC crashes mysteriously if not run with Admin rights

My PC is a Zoostorm with an Intel Celeron G1620 CPU with integrated graphics controller. It is easy to get round this problem once you know that BOINC needs admin rights, but the error messages give no indication that this is the cause of the problem. |

BOINC 7.2.42 released to the public

Posted 1 Apr 2014 by RMA Post: further to my previous post. I uninstalled BOINC, re-downloaded it and re-installed it. Now working OK. I have just installed BOINC 7.4.42. On starting it I get messages that it has crashed 3 times then 'unable to connect to the core client'. I am using Windows 7. On the windows wvent log the message is: 'event 1000 application error' |
