Right, but I am looking to identify any 64 bit Android applications, not just the ones at World Community Grid.

Thanks noderaser.

I'm not sure how to see whether Outsmart Ebola Together is 32 or 64 bit.

How can I learn which research projects have been created to utilize a 64 bit ARM CPU?

Are there any research projects at World Community Grid that can do this?

Thanks for your help.

The installation page shows how to set up a host name or password during the initial install, but not after Native Boinc has been installed. I don't see where there to allow remote access?

I have reinstalled Native Boinc using the initial setup to set up a host name and a password. I have Native Boinc installed on my Android device and when I run BoinTasks "Find Computer" it sees my two PCs, but not the Native Boinc device.

How do I get this working?

Good luck with the battery. I haven't had to replace one yet I can't help with any solid advice regarding it.

I am trying to get it working on Jelly bean (4.3).

Do you see any reason mine shouldn't be working from my description?

I would like to be able to manage the tasks on my Android device using Boinctasks. My understanding is that I can't do this with Boinc's android manager. I am trying to use Native Boinc to do this.

I can download the app and configure it for my accounts. I can run tasks fine. However, if I power the device down it loses all of the configuration settings. It then won't run any more tasks and only says "not connected".

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Thank you.

Do you have more detail on how I can perform these steps?

** I RENAMED my Android tablet to a easy to remember/friendly name within the Native Boinc Client configuration page(s) on the tablet.

I can't see where in the Boinctasks preferences menu I can do this. How do I?

** EDITED the "RPC Config" and "RPC Password" files (in Native Boinc)to allow remote access via my local network/Desktop PC's.

I performed these steps on my Linux pc but don't know how or where to do them on my Android with Boinctasks. Can you elaborate on how you did this or point me to a webpage with more detail on how?

Thank you.

I have Android devices on my network running Boinc. My understanding is that Boinctasks will also manage them if they run NativeBoinc instead of Boinc for Android.

If that is correct would you be able to help me get that up and running? I have tried before and couldn't get it going.

Let me rephrase this.

You nailed it! It is now working beautifully.

Thank you very much.

I also have Android devices on the same network running Boinc. My understanding is that Boinctasks will also manage them if they run NativeBoinc instead of Boinc for Android.

If that is correct would you be able to help me get that up and running? I have tried before and couldn't get it going.

Thanks a lot for your help.

I like your idea of using another way to accomplish this goal without having to continually update IP addresses. I tried it and unfortunately Boinctasks was still not able to see computer B. I am not real sure what I am not doing correctly.

Here is the contents of the XX.file now:
<cc_config>
<log_flags>
<allow_remote_gui_rpc>1</allow_remote_gui_rpc>
<task>1</task>
<file_xfer>1</file_xfer>
<sched_ops>1</sched_ops>
</log_flags>
</cc_config>

Any insight how to get it working?

I have two computers running Boinc. The first (A) uses Windows 7 64 bit. I would like to use Boinctasks on this pc to access a second pc (B) and am having problems getting this set up correctly and need some help.

The second PC (B) uses ubuntu 15 and boinv client and manager are running correctly on it. I am a linux newbie and this is likely contributing to the problem.

To be able to access (B) from (A) on (B) I have been trying to edit the Remote_hosts.cfg file so I can add the IP address of computer (A). When I try to do this using Leafpad I get the message "Can't Open File to Write".

When I run ls -l remote_hosts.cfg on Remote_hosts.cfg I get back -rw-r-- 1 root boinc 296 Nov 25 2014 remotehosts.cfg.

Any help with getting Boinctasks up and accessing my second computer correctly is greatly appreciated.

I have made a video of the screen saver. How can I post it somewhere for you or send it to you?
The primary project I run is WCG. I unsuspended the SIMAP project but it did not show up on my BOINC screen saver.
When in Boinc I “Show Graphics” I do not get this flickering, the graphics display correctly.
Other non Boinc screen savers work correctly.
If we find a way to share the video I have a picture of my BOINC screen saver configuration settings I can share with you if that would help with the diagnosis.
My video card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 620.

Any idea when I will be able to get version 7.4 from your team?

My World Community Grid project graphic screen saver flickers. Other screensavers do not.

The “Show Graphic” button works correctly with no flickering.

Any help on solving this would be greatly appreciated.
