Starting New Tasks with Many Tasks in "waiting to run" State
(Message 34865)
Posted 23 Sep 2010 by d_j_liu Post: On computers running multiple projects, sometimes a project may have several tasks in "waiting to run" state, yet the scheduler starts new tasks of that projects instead of resuming old tasks waiting for their turn. Is this a bug? |

How To Start Task of Earliest Deadline First?
(Message 17746)
Posted 9 Jun 2008 by d_j_liu Post: Sometimes the client may receive tasks having report deadline much earlier than tasks received earlier. If the client is configured with a large work buffer, this could cause these tasks expire before they are worked on. Can the client be configured to select the next task based on the deadline? |
