64 bit Fedora 20 with mate running on a Dell optiplex 745

I have both the client and the manager installed using
su -c 'yum install boinc-client boinc-manager' Using top, I can see them running. I am unable to use the manager to add a project to even tell the client what project, (seti@home) that I want it to run. What am I missing?

Thanks,

Yes...Should I have deleted anything in addition to uninstalling BOINC before I reinstalled? I have version 7.0.65. After I install it, it found the task that had been working and in a couple of minutes took off where the old one left off.

If from within Boinc Manager I select a running task, and click on "show graphics" I do see what used to be the screen saver in a small window. I have a mac-mini with 4gb of memory, I replaced the HD with an SSD, it came with a Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics card.

When I go to "system preferences" and click on Desktop and Screen Saver. Then choose screen saver, BOINC is not one of the choices, and there seems to be no way to indicate that I want to use BOINC.

Was running 10.8 Snow Leopard. Updated yesterday to the newest 10.9 Maverick. Everything Boinc / seti@home related appears to run fine except the screensaver. I cannot find a way to turn in back on. Only the Maverick screensavers which have formats I do not like. Arrrrrgh!
