I've been running einstein@home on my 12Z Mac mini. Using the BOINC universal build, I never get any new wu's. Using a non-universal BOINC does get me FGRPSEE wu's, which in general validate fine. Am I not getting new wu's from the BOINC universal build because I have a 12Z, and not a M1?

Can you post your log? I am no expert, but I did just recently upgrade to Mavericks and 7.2.33 is working fine for me.

I got impatient. I bought a Nvidia GT 640 (the one with the TDP of 49 watts and DDR5 memory), which works out of the box with my Mac Pro 2009 (though it doesn't show the boot screen) and 10.9. It was not expensive (less than $100), and it's twice as fast as the GT 120.

The GT 120 (and my GTX 285) may never be supported for CUDA in 10.9. (My GTX 285 has been in a box for a while, replaced by a GTX 570.)

I did try multiple earlier versions - none helped. In the event log, there is no mention of the GT 120 at all.

Have you tried connecting a monitor to it, or a dummy plug?

Claggy

I had my monitor connected to the GT 120 (though I usually don't), but again no mention of it in the event log.

Thanks for responding!

Before upgrading to Mavericks, I had both a GT 120 and a GTX 570 crunching Einstein GPU units. When I upgraded to Mavericks, Boinc would only report the GTX 570, not the GT 120. I tried different versions of Boinc, and different CUDA versions, but the GT 120 would not show up.

Any ideas?
