1) Message boards : Questions and problems : Be careful, I destroyed my years long history on a project in an instant (Message 94838) Posted 10 Jan 2020 by Clif Brown Post: After being repeatedly advised by Boinc Manager to change the URL for climate prediction, I decided to comply. In BM, I could find no way to change the URL, delete project being the only option offered in the menus. I deleted then added climate prediction again, assuming the HTTPS change in the URL would take effect. It did not, the URL shown in BM for climate prediction remains without the HTTPS, but my 7 or 8 years of accumulated stats with the project is gone and I am now starting from scratch. As I had risen to the 99th percentile of all USA contributors to climate prediction and had long since outlasted all other members of the group I was in (Athiests/Agnostics) who had dropped out, I was proud of my contribution. Now I'm back to zero, but the important thing is that the number crunching of all those years was done, all that I've lost is bragging rights.

2) Message boards : Questions and problems : getting frequent advisory: runtime exited in abnornal way (Message 50061) Posted 2 Aug 2013 by Clif Brown Post: Within the past week or so a window frequently pops up labeled C++ that tells me the runtime is being exited in an unexpected way. It references BOINC. First I uninstalled BOINC and the notices stopped. I then reinstalled BOINC and the notices are appearing again. The appear over anything else I might be doing so are very disruptive, happening every few minutes. I run only one project with BOINC, climate prediction. Does anyone have a fix for this?
