1) Message boards : BOINC Manager : RFE: Enable messages tab option (Message 58380) Posted 2 Dec 2014 by skubee Post: I am still using BOINC 6.10.60 since it still contains the Messages tab. I find it extremely useful and will not upgrade BOINC since newer versions require you to open a separate window. Instead of enabling the messages tab again, a good compromise would be to at least include the OPTION of enabling the messages tab if the user chooses to view it. This way, I can continue running a new version of BOINC and run newer projects without losing the Messages tab.

2) Message boards : BOINC Manager : New feature request: messages tab option (Message 49598) Posted 13 Jun 2013 by skubee Post: I am currently running boinc v6.10.60 which has the messages tab still enabled. I would like to upgrade boinc to the newest version to take advantage of some of the new features available. However, the disappearance of the messages tab is severely detrimental to monitoring the status of boinc. It would be awesome if at least a messages tab OPTION was available in a future release of boinc. I have multiple machines contributing time to science research and would like to make the most of it.
