BOINC Manager :
Failed to attach to server
(Message 1068)
Posted 24 Nov 2005 by gummih Post: Hi, I'm a first time Boinc user ( I used seti@home for a while in 2000) I installed the reccomended version (5.2.8) I set up my proxy (nt credentials) but now when I try to connect to seti i get the message "Failed to attach to server" I have also tried climateprotection and get the same response (my username and pass works on their site) What is going on? There are mainly two suspect things in the messages: "Missing account key" and Scheduler request to ... failed with a return value of 500 here is the complete messagelog 24.11.2005 14:11:37||Fetching config info from http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/get_project_config.php 24.11.2005 14:11:39||Missing account key 24.11.2005 14:11:55|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Master file download succeeded 24.11.2005 14:11:55|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Sending scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi 24.11.2005 14:11:55|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Reason: Requested by user 24.11.2005 14:11:55|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Requesting 17280 seconds of new work 24.11.2005 14:11:56|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Scheduler request to http://setiboinc.ssl.berkeley.edu/sah_cgi/cgi failed with a return value of 500 24.11.2005 14:11:56|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|No schedulers responded 24.11.2005 14:11:56|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Couldn't connect to URL http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/.Please check URL. 24.11.2005 14:11:56|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Resetting project 24.11.2005 14:11:56||request_reschedule_cpus: exit_tasks 24.11.2005 14:11:56|http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/|Detaching from project Does anyone know a solution? -gummih |
