is kinda off topic I guess but every so often I get these big projects called "Astropulse" and the computer and system handles them normally but they are many times larger than the regular projects and I was just wondering, what is "Astropulse" and how does it relate to SETI project

upgraded to Kubuntu 12.04 and boinc refused to run, error codes telling me I am missing a library but never could find it.
finally purged Boinc from my system and reloaded 7.0.27 and everything works fine.
I am reasonably savy linux user and spent more than a month trying to find the work around or solution.



not sure the problem but I'm not touching 7.0.28

ok it was an addendum to the first complaint.
I've upgraded to 7.0.28 and am getting Computation errors. the advanced event log is giving the app_info.xml does not have a usable version.

am running Kubuntu 12.4 and have downloaded the debian Apt-get version of BOINC
the file in question is not in the directory so cannot remove, tried that.
and I'm trying to run SETI@home which I have been running successfully for many years. I upgraded from Kubuntu 11.10 to 12.4 and the problems started. have installed all the upgrades.

I have totally removed BOINC 7.0.28 and reloaded a fresh copy with the same result.

when trying to run the task bar gives the "Computation error" code.
