I can add a BOINC luncher to the panel; However I am looking for something similar to the Indicator applet. I installed BOINC, BOINC-manager and BOINC-client using Synaptic, but got no indicator icon. Perhaps there just isn't one.

Also: What is T4T?

Thanks again,

Mike

1. Did you install BOINC using Synaptic?
2. Looked for "Classic systray extension" (keywords together and separately) but found nothing that looked right. Do yo have a non-standard repository defined?

Thanks for your help,
Mike

Running Ubuntu 12.04, installed BOINC using Synaptic: No problems. Installed version 7.0...
I have opened a (separate) query as to whether there is any panel indicator icon for GNOME 3, and I'm hoping for a response there.

I installed BOINC on two home computers; Under XP there is an icon in the launch-bar which when clicked accesses BOINC manager.
On Ubuntu Linux however there is no indication that either the client or manager is running. Is there anything that can be installed as an indicator in a GNOME 3 panel?

Many thanks,
Mike
