Thanks for the suggestion. I'm now seeing the logging messages I expected to see.

Just to be explicit, that's:

View --> Advanced View
Options --> Event Log options
Setting an option on and then off again and saving the results (this should leave "file-xfer", "sched-ops" and "task" as the only options ticked).

Thanks again - much appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. I changed the power settings so that the PC never sleeps, and that has eliminated the "Windows is suspending operations" messages. However, there is still very little activity shown in the event log, even when BOINC Manager shows the status "Running" and a percentage which is non-zero (and typically at least 20%).

With the Linux version I had running, I would typically see (in the event log) files being uploaded and downloaded when BOINC was active, at least every few minutes. In Windows 10, I don't see any of that for the three projects I've added. Not sure if the logging level can be increased to be more verbose, since that might help with the troubleshooting. Another explanation might be that the projects I've added consider my hardware set-up (CPUs, RAM, etc) to be too marginal to farm out much work to my PC.

Anyway, any other feedback or suggestions would be welcome.

BOINC Manager version: 7.16.5
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit (all recommended and optional patches applied)
Attempted projects: World Community Grid, Rosetta@home, LHC@home

Description:

Looking at the event log, there seems to be very little activity (excerpt below). I tried temporarily disabling the Windows Firewall and removing any restrictions on running (under Options --> Computing Preferences), but neither helped. I only tried to get this working in the last week or so, so it's not as if it worked and suddenly stopped working. I also note that when I click on "Add Project", no projects are displayed, so I had to add each project using an explicit URL.

Here's an excerpt from the log file:
