1) Message boards : Questions and problems : How long does it take this thing to download data? (Message 40368) Posted 25 Sep 2011 by Rick Fague Post: I only run Seti At Home. The problem seems to have resolved itself but man do I ever long for the old days when a simple download progress bar told you exactly how much data was being downloaded without having to dig through all these windows. I guess progress doesn't only go forward, when it comes to simplicity and ease of use, that is. I'm all set for now, thanks for trying to help, Dag.

(Message 40238) Posted 18 Sep 2011 by Rick Fague Post: I just changed my network setting from a public network to a home network to see if that made a difference but BOINC Manager still says its downloading data like it has for the last hour or longer. Could it be Windows Firewall? If so, why doesn't BOINC show up on the list of programs I can allow through it? I gave this software up years ago because it was very glitchy, I can already feel my patience wearing thin again...
