We have recently moved to a new server! This transition will enhance the capabilities of the project.

We are currently redeploying applications and addressing some bugs that have emerged. Your patience and support during this process are greatly appreciated.

For quicker responses from the team, please check out our Discord channel: https://gpugrid.net/gpugrid/forum_thread.php?id=5435 . We also continue to monitor this forum, so both avenues of communication remain open.

Thank you for your continued contributions to GPUGRID!

The best help source Asteroids would be the Message Boards for that project. I suggest that you go there and try to give a little more information about your issue.

I had 541 WCG results uploaded from my AMD Ryzen 7 3700x PC on 07-Jan-2025, 22:39 - 22:44 U.S. EST.

I'm still waiting to get them "reported": "Scheduler request failed: Stream error in the HTTP/2 framing layer".

But that's some progress - my Transfers tab is finally empty. OTOH, www.worldcommunitygrid.org isn't pinging from that box.

Similar status Transfers up done and Just Tasks ready to Report pending ... now seeing the following message after communications attempt

1/8/2025 10:45:32 AM | World Community Grid | Scheduler request to https://scheduler.worldcommunitygrid.org/boinc/wcg_cgi/fcgi failed: HTTP service unavailable

In reply to Grumpy Swede's message of 4 Jan 2025:
And the night went by, even in Toronto, and still no access to WCG.

But my main concern now, is the collapse of the old cast iron sewage system (from 1965), under my apartment building. That is giving the residents of 135 apartments a hell of a problem.
That's what happens if you think that cast iron will last forever. The moronic owner think that it will be possible now to "reline" a system that has collapsed in several places.

I have seen film taken from inside the pipes , and as expected they are full of rusticles/barnacles, and in some locations even totally collapsed.

How old is the building and how many feet of pipe are we talking ? Will his contractor just be able to cut concrete and trench down to the pipe or is it worse than that ?

I would keep tasks, they will upload once WCG is back up.

Other projects to consider include Rosetta, SiDock and DENIS (when they have work, expected soon).

And for those volunteers with NVIDIA GPU's the GPUGRID@home does science.

New update today from Dodo@home....

-----------

Wow! Thanks again to everyone for posting their issues, questions and feedback.

Here's where we are as we transition to the holidays:

We've been able to prepare data for a lot more work... to the tune of about 100,000 jobs.

However, as we read some of the more detailed feedback from the experienced contributors, we realized we had missed some really important BOINC-specific steps when developing our initial analysis code.

We've already been working on implementing those steps, but most of the team is on their way to family and friends for the holidays. We'll pick this up next year.

Though while much less important, we do think we've fixed the various website, team and forum issues.

We wish everyone a joyous holiday season and Happy New Year!

Update: ODLK1 is working just fine now :)

Well here is s a BOINC project. dodo@home

We're embarking on one heck of a journey, one with a thousand steps... our ultimate aim is to bring the Dodo back from extinction. Using our unique software and your help, we will decode the genome AND many, many others along the way. Join us and let’s make history! Together, we will make the saying 'as dead as a dodo' a thing of the past.
