Nvidia memory detection problem

Posted 20 Jan 2011 by Andrew Post: It appears that the client is detecting the video card as a 256mb card when it is a 512mb card. Any ideas why? Physical card with 512MB, nothing added from system memory. |

Posted 20 Jan 2011 by Andrew Post: Starting BOINC client version 6.10.58 for i686-pc-linux-gnu Processor: 4 AuthenticAMD AMD Phenom(tm) 9850 Quad-Core Processor [Family 16 Model 2 Stepping 3] OS: Linux: 2.6.36-gentoo-r5 Memory: 3.96 GB physical, 15.27 GB virtual NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce 8500 GT (driver version unknown, CUDA version 3020, compute capability 1.1, 255MB, 29 GFLOPS peak) Note: Linux is in 32-bit mode. NVIDIA Driver Version: 260.19.29 It appears that the client is detecting the video card as a 256mb card when it is a 512mb card. Any ideas why? If you need anything further just ask.
