1) Message boards : Questions and problems : Cannot open the Boinc manager (Message 105295) Posted 1 Sep 2021 by petm Post: Hi guys, After a few problems with my pc I created a new user. That solved the pc problems, but at the same time it created a new problem; after downloading and installing the Boinc manager I can open the manager only right after installation. When closing the manager I can easily find it in the start menu, bot nothing happens when trying to open it. The only way to open the manager is to install the program again. I have now tried that quite a few times, including repairing and removing the program as well as the data directory but the result remains the same. The pc is running Win 10 with the latest updates. Any ideas to what I should do? Thanks :-) Peter

I cannot upload finished work, nor can I get access to the website. However, I cannot find any info about the project saying something about this. Any of you who have som info? 4) Message boards : BOINC client : My boinc running slowly (Message 17581) Posted 31 May 2008 by petm Post: Hi there Can anyone tell me why my boinc is computating/running very slowly? To complete a task takes at least double the time stated in the boinc manager. Until a few weeks ago it was running much faster, but I do not know what I might have done. Can anyone give me any clues to what I can do? Peter

6) Message boards : BOINC Manager : Firewall (Message 15026) Posted 18 Jan 2008 by petm Post: Hi there In settings I have marked that Boinc should be running only when I am not using my pc. Though I can see that when I am using it there is a lot of traffic going in and out of the firewall and the "guilty" program is Boinc. What is this?? I use the free firewall from Zonealarm. Peter
