Notepad is a great tool for writing long posts for those unexpected whoops moments when a server decides to burp.

I think it was Jord who had mentioned awhile back he uses that option.

If I spend more than about 60 seconds typing a reply, I have gotten into an instinctual habit of doing ctrl+a, ctrl+c before hitting "Post reply." Not just on these sites, but.. anywhere. I've lost too many long, well-detailed posts due to not at least having them in the clipboard. Sometimes you can get lucky with hitting 'back', but not always.

I've ran Zone Alarm before, I'll reinstall it to see if that can give me some better diagnostics.

I only log in with remote desktop. Might that have something to do with it?

Closing firefox for the night to see if that fixes this.

Any thoughts on why AP is still running when GPU is suspended?

It's running in the background as I write. I chose Suspend GPU from the Activity menu at 12:57 after the "resuming computation" entry, and nothing appeared in the log. What should be written when I turn off GPU?

BTW, that's not my ISP and IP address, if that's what you're saying.

Anyway, if people are setting ncpus = 0 and BOINC is still using the CPU then there is a bug in the software, regardless of whether commoners should use the setting or not.

So you're saying users ought to consult the source code if they want up to date documentation?
