Yeah, the Quadro 3700 is listed, but not the GeForce 3700. :(

I had a video problem unrelated to BOINC, and I just swapped out my old card for a pair of NVidia 3700LE cards. Installed them, configured them, but BOINC doesn't see them.

I'm running Ubuntu Lucid 64-bit, BOINC 6.10.56
NVidia drivers 195.36.31.

On startup, BOINC says:

Does anyone have any ideas? I've got BOINC using the GPU on a Windows box, I may try putting one of the 3700's in there to see if it'll use it.

But unfortunately, a google search for "boinc remote access" has the unofficial wiki at the top of the list. Any reason not to correct info on that wiki? It is still more complete than the official wiki (I was able to find out what ports to open from that wiki), but some of the info is incorrect.

Yes, I had been using the BOINC wiki to solve the problem, but when I started configuring remote access, the "unofficial" BOINC wiki said BOINCDIR on a windows system is \program files\BOINC (shame on them). Once I saw the official wiki's info on that location, I got things connected.

I have two systems running BOINC. One is on Ubuntu Lucid, the other on Windows Vista. I wanted to use rpc on the linux system, so I went to the Vista system and created a remote_hosts.cfg file, and also created a gui_rpc_auth.cfg (I thought the docs said it created one when BOINC starts, but there was no file). I restarted BOINC on that system, and tried to access it from the linux manager. No connect. I can ping one machine from the other (they're on the same subnet), and that works. I turned off the firewall, no help.

I tried to do the reverse. I did find a gui_rpc_auth.cfg in my linux BOINC dir, so I changed that password, created a remote_hosts.cfg, and restarted - from the windows machine I can't access the linux machine either.

One thing I did notice is when I select localhost on linux, I use the password I set in gui_rpc_auth.cfg, but on windows, it says the password is bad. Is windows saving the password somewhere else?

My Windows BOINC version is 6.10.56, and on Linux I'm using 6.10.17. Does that matter?
