I tried setting the password in gui_rpc_auth.cfg to blank and now I cannot attach locally or remotely. I tried copying a blank version from a working machine and still the same.

I now have Boinc running on a number of Arm devices. All was going well until I decided to try and control from my Linux x86 box. I setup remote_hosts.cfg and gui_rpc_auth.cfg in /var/lib/boinc_client and can select and then control from the linux box, but I have now lost access from the Arm boxes locally. It just says disconnected at the bottom right of the screen. I have tried selecting the computer as 127.0.0.1 and as its IP address which I can access from Linux, but it just says disconnected. Is local and remote control mutually exclusive?

Found some stuff related to IPv6 in /etc/hosts. Took a backup and then deleted the IpV6 stuff. Seems to have solved the problem.

I am having problems setting up BOINC since moving to ubuntu 10.04. I can access the sites via Firefox but not when I try an access application manager from a boinc startup.

I had to change some Firefix settings to get it to work.

Also disable ipv6 in thunderbird.

Also I think I managed to turn off ipv6 least it says disable when I check the ethernet details.
