1) Message boards : Web interfaces : Create account in Test Project (Message 16095) Posted 27 Mar 2008 by Chinmayee Post: According to the CreateProjectCookbook, I have completed all these jobs, Create a client directory and copy the core client there, and run it. mkdir boinc_test cd boinc_test cp ../boinc/client/boinc_client . cp ../boinc/lib/boinc_cmd . boinc_client Now, Using the web interface, I have to create an account to the project. As I am setting up server on Ubuntu virtual machine m using "lynx" to access the web interface. In http://ubuntu.localdomain/cplan there is an option to create account. But m not able to create account as the message m getting is "Account creation is disabled" What can i do now??

You must allow under Preferences for Lan -> Other -> "Other users to use your network-connection" and set up VMware Network Adapter VMnet1 or VMnet8. Normally you should have web-access inside your vm. Yes I have done that, both VMnet1 and VMnet8 are enabled. What else could be the problem??

IP address of host machine is 172.16.5.132 and IP address of virtual machine is 192.168.227.129 You don't have access to web inside your VM? What is your host maschines OS? Host machine OS is Windows..no..i dont have acccess to web inside my VM

When i run ./boinc_cmd --lookup_account http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/ (my emailid) (password) I am getting the following messages status: success poll status : operation in progress poll status : http error Can anyone lead me to run the BOINC client from virtual m/c using command line interface??

During the building process I am getting this error..I have even set the LD_lIBRARY_PATH to /usr/local/lib where the libmysqlclient.so file is present.. ./python -E ./setup.py build ./python: error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.15: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I tried installing both the ways.. 1. downloaded mysql for the python present and builded mysql.. 2. downloaded both MySQL-python and Python and then builded both the files together..using the commands given in the link.. http://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/PythonMysql But getting the same error.. Please help me out asap!!
10) Message boards : API : Compilation error (Message 12730) Posted 25 Sep 2007 by Chinmayee Post: These are some more detail about the problem which we are facing We are trying to run "uppercase" sanple application on a CentOS4 machine.We have installed FreeGLUT , but it doesnot generate a "libGLU.a" file . We tried Mesalib. fltk and also the original openGL library, but none of thi libs resusted in the generation of lllibGLU.a file. Due to this we are unable to compile uppercase. When we removed libGLU related commands from the uppercase makefile we could build it but, graphis was unavailable while running. Plz help. Hi, I am unable to compile the boinc sample files, getting this error, g++: /usr/local/lib/libGLU.a : NO such file or directory. Can u please help me out, by giving the link to download the open GLU.
