This is the rest of Charlie's post: ***************************************** I am [trying] to process work units for Milkeyway@Home and Universe@Home. When I am not using the computer and the BOINC screen saver is up, it always says "Now running tasks Computer in use." And the BOINC manager, under the Status column on the Tasks page, always indicates "Suspended - computer in use" even though I do not activate the "Suspend" button. It downloads Tasks and I am able to download new tasks with no problem. However, BOINC does not process the tasks. On the Tasks page of the BOINC manager, under "Elapsed" some tasks usually indicate 00:00:01 to 00:00:45 respectively—even on newly downloaded tasks. Sometimes these Lapsed times revert back to 00:00:00 with no apparent rhyme or reason. I have even tried with my plug and play laser mouse disconnected in case it may be interfering with BOINC to no avail. I am not using a joystick or such device. There is a small yellow object in the bottom right corner of the BOINC tray icon. Not sure if this means anything. I am using BOINC Version 7e.16.11 x64) on a 64-bit PC with Windows 10 Home Edition. All critical updates are installed and the machine seems to be clean of any malware. I have even tried to run the tasks with no other open programs or browser windows, except for automatic startup programs. AFA "Windows: whether you installed BOINC as a Service."? Not sure what this means. I would sure appreciate it if someone could help workout this problem. Please keep in mind that I am just an average user and not a techie.
