Jord, thanks to your hint I have my 4 GPUs back. The key was to edit coproc_info.xml file. In my case I have doubled </ati_opencl> entry. It is very important to make the coproc_info read only, because BOINC Manager will modify it during a start. Thanks once again! |

Hi, I had a similar problem, but I lost 2 of my 4 GPUs. In my case the key was to edit coproc_info.xml file and double gpu entry. Thanks! |

Considered that perhaps one of the cards is dead, has come loose from its PCIe slot (thus reseat it), or that it's without sufficient power (check your PSU, check cables)? I have checked the physical connection of both cards and it looks ok. Cards are working as usual - leds are blinking and coolers are turning, they are also hot. I also asked AMD if I should see 4GPUs or 2 in a task manager or Radeon Software and their answer is "Please be informed that you have two Radeon Pro Duo graphic cards , Radeon software will show the GPUs as GPU1 and GPU2 and its normal". I still have no idea why BOINC Manager showed 4 devices and without any hardware changes or even computer or BOINCs Manager reset I suddendly lost 2/4 devices? Any ideas what to check next? Maybe Windows reinstallation? |

Thank you for a fast response. I tried to turn off graphic cards in Windows device manager. If I turn off the first card in device manager, GPU device 0 stops counting. If the second graphic card is turned off, GPU device 1 stops working in BOINC Manager. That’s why I thought that both cards are working, but BOINC cannot utilize the second GPU on each card. But frankly speaking I don’t know how Windows should recognize Pro Duo cards. Maybe there should be 4 cards instead of 2 in device manager like it is now and your remark is excellent. I have no physical access to the computer now, but I will check it tomorrow and let know. |

Hi everyone, I have a similar problem because Boinc stopped recognizing 2 form 4 GPUs so hope this is a right place to describe my case. I use two AMD Radeon Pro Duo graphics cards and sudendly without any configuration and hardware changes Boinc sees only 2 devices instead of 4. I have tried to upgrade /downgrade graphic drivers, reinstal Boinc, configure cc_config to use all GPUs, changing projects... All without any success. I have no idea what to do next to retrieve lost gpu's. Maybe you will help? Here are the logs before and after I lost GPUs.
