I had no idea that would be required...Reinstalled and rebooted before allowing the program to start itself (it asks at the end of installation). After reboot; started up and the add-project dialogue appeared...and I added things and all is good. Many thanks! Now back to finding ET.

2) Message boards : BOINC Manager : BOINC Manager 5.2.7 Hangs (Message 884) Posted 10 Nov 2005 by Mike Ruger Post: I can't even do anything to the program, it just shows the BOINC window, and sometimes the menu items at the top fill in (file/edit/etc). I can't do anything to the program except ctrl-alt-del and shut it down manually. Any help is appreciated!!!

3) Message boards : BOINC Manager : BOINC Manager 5.2.7 Hangs (Message 875) Posted 10 Nov 2005 by Mike Ruger Post: I installed 5.2.7 on a 2.8GHz Pentium Dell machine. After downloading the manager, I installed it without any problems. Then I tried to run it, and it just did not fill the screen with anything; just a plain old window with BOINC at the top. Had to manually shut that down and then try restarting...that did not work either, after the window came up, localhost was displayed in parenthesis right after BOINC. Again, it was lost. Sorry, had to uninstall... Let me know when this is fixed and I will try again. Mahalo, Mike
