My Wish List - 2
(Message 13198)
Posted 22 Oct 2007 by Anthony Q. Bachler Post: I was wondering if it would be possible to add a way to start a particular work unit instead of letting Bionc choose one at random. There have been times when I had a work unit that was almost finished, however Bionc would choose to start 2 different work units (I have a Dual Core System). It would be nice if I could say right click with the mouse Choose to tell Bionc to run the work unit I selected. I have a similar wish, in that I would like an option to have BOINC execute the tasks in the order I sort them. Even better would be the ability to write a custom task selection DLL that would do the sorting for me. Personally Id prefer it work on the task with the lowest time from estimated completion to deadline, but I only run one project (Seti@Home) and I know some projects dont play nice with the scheduler (PrimeGrid). |
