from the collatz site:The Collatz server is currently down due to a hard drive controller failure. New hardware should arrive in the next day or two. A complete rebuild of the operating system, BOINC, and the Collatz software and project setup will then need to be done prior to the project coming back online. As this will be a complete rebuild, there is no sense hanging on to any completed workunits at this time. So, go ahead and abort any workunits you have whether they are complete or not. I expect the project will remain down for the next 10-15 days while I set it all back up and test it. Sorry for any inconvenience. And yes, I will make up for the lost credits once everything is back up and running. |

Hi! I think there was a explanation on the rosetta website on Sunday. It said that they were moving hardware to a new building on the campus I think. They expected an outage of 4-5 days. Regards, Rayburner |

Hi! I have a problem regarding the sreensaver. No graphics are being displayed. This is true for every project that actually does have graphics. In my case the projects are rosetta, malariacontrol.net, WCG and CPDN. I am running the latest BOINC Version (6.2.18) and the latest NVIDIA graphics driver for my GTS 8600. The operating system is Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit with SP1 on a Intel Quad 6700. I have been crunching SETI with an optimized app (no graphics) for quite a while so I didn't notice the problem with the missing graphics. Has anybody an idea what I can do to get the graphics (back)? Thanks in advance. P.S.: If you need more detailed information about my system please let me know. Regards Rayburner |
