I have to agree with the post by Les Bayliss: "I think something is wrong with this new version of BOINC..."

I've been a part of SETI@home for years (total work done 9,405,905 for whatever that's worth...doesn't mean much to me), but since just before the holidays there has been a BIG problem with work not being transferred. Since then my statistics have taken a nose-dive. Zero work performed from 12/25 (the earliest date of no work shown) through 10/20. From there work was being sporadically transferred, but now I'm back to another nosedive as little or no work is transferred or worked upon.

While at work (this is a work machine) I generally turn BOINC off completely, and then resume all work at the end of the day, allowing it to crank on this stuff overnight. I do this because it affects machine performance noticeably, and that just won't due. But it has become very common for BOINC to simply say there is no work to be had. That can't be right, can it? I thought I'd stumbled upon something when, disappointed by that message, I had BOINC perform CPU benchmarks, after which new work was transferred and work obviously began. But that may have just been a fluke...I'm back to no work being performed overnight, as best I can tell.

It's pretty irritating, and I'm thinking about simply uninstalling....though I do have a new workstation (SW) waiting in the wings.
