Oh great. Another attempt to make BOINC a social networking product.


Actually, an attempt to short cut development in the webpages, because during the process you get modularity in iGoogle way.

Still, I am intrigued about your remark "Another". I will confess we have thought hard about the networking side because we are interested on building local community (having physical, not virtual, meetings). Do you have examples of social networking attempts under BOINC servers?


The Cafe' in every project. Total waste of database space and bandwidth.

We've added some new features recently.
I'm currently working on extending the BOINC message-board system
so that each team can have its own forum on the project's site.


This sounds more like each team can have it's own forum on every project.
Lots more mod opportunities.


I find it very curious that the BOINC devs refuse to use their own forum product. A bit like Microsoft devs refusing to use Windows (although that is more understandable).

Why can't they have their bug, feature and upgrade discussions right here? Why the need for the mail lists or Goofle Gropes?
