Grumble... wonder if this is happening to anyone else on Gmail or other mail systems???

For past 2 almost 3 weeks Gmail thinks emails from this website (https://boinc.berkeley.edu/) is s-p-a-m mail even if I have specifically added a filter to say it's NOT junk mail and belongs in main in-box.

I have to go to the s-p-a-m folder and flag the Berkeley emails as not junk every time.

Sad to see you go Richard.

Yes BOINC is a bit more complicated now that we have GPU and multi- core/thread machines with various options/settings.

Sometimes it's best to ask for help before trying to figure something out when confused or things don't seem to work the way we want them to....
As my college introduction to computing teacher wrote on the board in our first class:
RTP^3 == "Read The Problem, Read The Problem, Read The Problem."

*To really foul things up requires a computer.

This is a known bug and the developers are aware of it. Appears to be affecting mostly devices using Android OS versions 10 and up.
Message boards : Android : Annoying bug
And here's the link to the work in progress> Known bug, see #5305 for progress on its development.

Basically it's an Android "battery / power saver" interference problem.

Currently the only know workaround right now is to adjust the device battery/ power saver settings and to exclude BOINC from these options as noted in above links.

I have now had to go through each project twice.
I followed your suggestion which resulted in "No projects running while computer is not in use."
So I went through each project again and put in some usage.
What would happen if I simply went to "Restore defaults"?

If you only have ONE computer it's easier to change settings in the GUI BOINC MANGER settings as Dave noted several post prior - Message 113247.

If more than one PC and want all PC's to get same preferences...
You only need to change & save GLOBAL settings at ONE OF YOUR ACTIVE PROJECTS, otherwise everything can get messed up over which project preferences to use.
Once you have updated the settings at a project go into each PC and FIRST update the project you made changes at and then after that you should update all remaining projects in BOINC MANAGER.

How to update in BOINC MANAGER GUI:
Click projects tab near top;
Highlight first project you made changes at. Click UPDATE button in left column. Let it finish update;
Highlight remaining projects in list by holding shift button as you click/highlight each one;
Click UPDATE button in left column. Let it finish all projects update.
* All projects now should have picked up the correct info from the first project.

The most recent one is 7.24.1 *only* available from this website.

As previously mentioned in this topic, the project is most likely finished.

Based on you finding the website "redirected to something else" would confirm it's over.

One possible place that would have information is the most recent "owner" - BOINC at Poland. Right now their website is unreachable and does that on & off at irregular times.
Another possibility is the forum posts at Universe at Home.
Off topic: Radioactive@Home down ... Most recent posting from another user 8 days ago indicated same problem.

Most projects now only support x-64 (64 bit) computing. You don't mention if your hardware & OS is 32 or 64 bit.

Below is a link to the official BOINC PROJECTS LIST
https://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php

Someone more familiar with your hardware and OS will have to chime in here as I'm guessing you might be able to run *some* projects using the alternate/anonymous platform with special compiled apps for those few projects.
