Thanks Eagle! Whammo, it started downloading Rosetta workunits after I deleted the local prefs override.

Do you know if the preferences update has been downloaded to your PC yet? (you can force this by highlighting the Seti project in your projects tab, and clicking 'update').

Yeah I've done it every time I've updated the preferences.. (Forced the update)

Sigh.. Okay, I have no idea why this isn't working.. I have done as you said. I set the swapfile/virtual/whatever to 1000-3000, granted BOINC more space (20Gb), given it permission to use at most 80% of it, and leave at least 2gb free. Still I just keep getting the following error:

16.4.2007 13:58:18|rosetta@home|Message from server: Not enough disk space (only 82.9 MB free for BOINC). Review preferences for minimum disk free space allowed.
Is there any way I could "force" it to claim more space for use?

Total disk space is 70GB. Do you mean you have a 70GB hard drive? What is the total disk space according to Windows?

Leave 20% of that number as free space, compare that to your 22Gb free.
How much is taken up by the page file? What is the minimum and the maximum set by the page file?

Well the HD itself is actually 80Gb. WIndows says, it's (precisely)74,5Gb.

As for the page file, I have no idea. I recall the windows swap is about 2GB in size but I have no other info about it. And as stated, the BOINC is currently using only 83MB at most = 14.4.2007 21:47:46|rosetta@home|Message from server: Not enough disk space (only 82.6 MB free for BOINC).

Please post your disk and memory settings preferences for Rosetta.
Please also post your actual hard drive space, how much you have left and if BOINC runs from a partition or not.

-----

Disk and memory usage

Use at most: 1 GB disk space
Leave at least: 0.1 GB disk space free
Use at most: 20% of total disk space
Write to disk at most every: 60 seconds
Use at most: 40% of page file (swap space)
Use at most: 50% of memory when computer is in use
Use at most: 90% of memory when computer is idle

I have a 70Gb hard drive, BOINC runs from the same drive as Windows. About 22Gb of the drivespace is free.

Hello.. This is my first post here, I hope I'm posting in the right place. Well, straight to business:

I can't run rosetta@home at all; It gives me the following messages:

------

14.4.2007 21:47:46|rosetta@home|Message from server: No work sent
14.4.2007 21:47:46|rosetta@home|Message from server: (there was work but you don't have enough disk space allocated)
14.4.2007 21:47:46|rosetta@home|Message from server: Not enough disk space (only 82.6 MB free for BOINC). Review preferences for minimum disk free space allowed.

------

Now, I've tried setting resource share up - didn't help. I tried setting more available space, from 1GB to 2GB, but clearly, it isn't using even that much.

I tried to set it manually from prefences on my computer, with no results. It worked fine for a long time but then the issue just came up out of nowhere.

Can you help me? Is there any other way to allocate more disk-space to BOINC and/or separate projects? It's a little odd to me that you can't configure it straight from the program settings either..
Oh, and as it propably is clear but yeah I run seti@home too, rosetta isn't my only project. But as said, there was no problems earlier with this.

Anyway, thanks for any response in advance.
