None of the above problems on multiple projects getting thru highest security walls. 5.8.16.

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to say.

BOINC is having seemingly random problems with connecting. Downloads, uploads, syncing with BAM, nothing will work, then suddendly it will work for a short period. This happens in two networks, both at home and at work (I have BOINC on my laptop).
I have no idea where to start looking for problems. The only error I can find is "Temporarily failed download xxxx: system connect". All other internets work fine, by the way.
3) Message boards : BOINC Manager : Unable to attach to projects/account manager, no meaningful errors SOLVED (Message 8766)

Every time I try to attach to either a project or the BAM account manager I get a very long wait-time at the "communicating with server" stage, upon which I get the "temporarily unavailable, try again later" message. However, I find it hard to believe that all the projects I tried (climateprediction, rosetta and a few others) and the account manager are both "temporarily unavailable", but I have no idea what kind of problem this might be.
Anyone know this problem, or at least know where I can start looking for a solution?
EDIT: I just found the following messages in my log:
11:05:50||Fetching configuration file from http://www.boincstats.com/bam/get_project_config.php
11:05:54||Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
11:10:56||Access to reference site failed - check network connection or proxy configuration.
I'm not sure what the hell I'm supposed to do in the network configuration: I don't use a proxy, and the only connection I could specify is a work-related VPN, so I left that alone; I connect to the internet via a router, so I don't think that should be a problem. The only thing I can think of is that maybe I need to forward some port, but I can't find out the port number (it seems to have changed a couple times).
EDIT: I have no idea what the problem with the projects was, but changing the url for BAM did the trick. Apparently, I was using the wrong one *rolleyes*
