3) Message boards : BOINC Manager : Windows Screensaver "flashing" with CPU under 100 (Message 8070) Posted 8 Feb 2007 by eteq Post: Something very strange is happening in Boinc 5.8.8 under Win XP... I have the CPU throttled down to 50% (although it does it at any amount less than full CPU), and when the screen saver and graphics come up, they blink. That is, the screen saver appears for about a second, then the windows task bar appears, and then the Boinc graphics come back, rinse, and repeat. This wouldn't be so much of a problem, except that it prevents the monitor from automatically sleeping like it normally does. Again, if I set CPU to 100%, the problem goes away, but I don't want to do that... Anyone know what's going on?
