I just came across these Drupal video tutorials. I don't know how useful they'll be as I was actually looking for the OScommerce and Zencart ones! :-)

If anyone knows any 'A' level students in the UK interested in Astronomy they might be interested in this.

They need to be in touch by January 26th though!

You just may need medicines with more warnings on them. :-D

Its no use, I can't read them anyway. It's all this eyestrain caused from trying to read all the tiny writing :-)

No, somebody had beat me to it or I would have done. The case, mouse, keyboard and monitor were worth more than that. Silly man!

A couple of weeks back on my local flea market, a guy was selling his computer for £10. When I asked him why he was getting rid of it he said he'd got a laptop and he didn't need it any more.... so I asked him what it was and he said 'windows XP', my questions along the lines of 'yes, but what...?' merely produced 100% blank looks until eventually he said 'I don't know much about computers'!
Sometimes, I despair. still, at least he wasn't just throwing it away.

Try AVG's anti-rootkit free
http://free.grisoft.com/doc/download-free-anti-rootkit/
I spent days trying to rid my pc of a hidden nasty , none of the spyware stuff you've mentioned even found it but avg anti-rootkit free had it zapped in minutes.

I'm particularly interested in finding out if it's possible to migrate climate models/WUs from the machine(s) which are outbound and place them in the queues on the other machines which my "packratitis" will not allow me to part with without suitable replacements. d:'D

Yes it is, I did it a couple of times. You just need a way of transferring your backup to the other machine. (I did it over our local network). Having said that I backed up the entire boinc folder and dumped it across so if you've got other stuff already running I guess that wouldn't work.
If you wait till after one of the 10 year uploads there won't be much there to transfer (size-wise) anyway because these latest models clean up after themselves. I'm sure there's been advice about it on the cpdn phpbb forum but needless to say I can't find it now... No doubt someone more techy than me will be along soon :-)

Love the prakratitis btw, not heard that before, but I'm a severe sufferer myself!

Perhaps we should explain that wearing a tin-foil hat would help prevent people spying on him via his computer...

Interesting idea Mike, but I feel its only fair to point out that the following MIT scientific paper casts some doubt on the effectiveness of tin-foil hats ...
