I've installed BOINC manager and client from the Ubuntu repos, but now the manager never connects to the client and so I can't join any projects. I'm thinking the problem may be that before using the Ubuntu repos, I tried a manual install (twice, since I didn't initially know they weren't meant to be moved out of the Downloads folder *after* install) and simply deleted the folders. Might this have left some side effects that need cleaning up? If so, what do I need to do? |
