I'd be happy to chown gui_rpc_auth.cfg. Where is it?
I've done file searches starting at the root directory, but I still can't find it.

How do I find gui_rpc_auth.cfg?

7.6.31 (x64) Linux
Synaptic says this is the latest version available.

I leave BOINC running 24/7 minimized. When I'm done running another application, I turn it off. BOINC then takes the opportunity to move from minimized to displaying on top.

How do I get BOINC to stay in the background where I want it?

Boinc Manager: 7.027 +dsfg-5ubuntu0.12.04.1
Boinc Client: 7.027 +dsfg-5ubuntu0.12.04.1

I got these from the repositories.

I'll wait for updates to the repositories, installs from BOINC are difficult.

I'm running BOINC Manager under Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

When I set Computing Preferences/Only after computer has been idle for 3.0 minutes, BOINC stays suspended indefinitely. Activity is selected correctly.

How do I get "Only after computer has been idle for..." to work correctly?

On starting BOINC Manager in Kubuntu (Deb/Linux) 6.06, I get "The password you have provided is incorrect. please try again". There was no request for a password on startup.
Client starts from a command prompt.

How do I get Manager to run? Where do I put in a password?
