hello,

i started having this problem a lot recently. whenever a new job is downloaded and started, it gives me an error:
2006-10-06 09:29:11 [World Community Grid] Starting result faah0802_bdb532_mx1kj
g_00_5 using faah version 526

2006-10-06 09:29:12 [World Community Grid] Computation for result faah0802_bdb53
2_mx1kjg_00_5 finished

it keeps happening again and again and it first happened yesterday.
i am running boinc on a linux cluster and it has been running OK for several months now.
any ideas what is the problem? thanx!

Renat.

P.S. it seems to be happening with faah0808_bdb* jobs only. is it the jobs or my system? the biggest problem is that it jobs "finish" quickly this way and a daily quota of 12 jobs is reached very quickly and it doesnt even download any more jobs.
2) Message boards : BOINC client : computer overcommitted? (Message 5115)

Hello,

I am running boinc 5.2.13 on a dual CPU machine under Linux. Recently, I have encountered the following problem - although boinc seems to work on two processes, one of them doesnt get done, the percentage stays the same (I dont how it could get to non zero value).
The other process is runnig just fine, and if I suspend it, then instead of working on the 1st one, boinc start downloading yet another job.
If I reatsrt boinc client, then it gives the following messages:
2006-07-24 10:20:21 [---] Suspending work fetch because computer is overcommitted.
2006-07-24 10:20:21 [---] Using earliest-deadline-first scheduling because computer is overcommitted.
Any idea what is happening? Thank you.

Renat.

Don't shell the command, but run it from the Boinc directory directly.

Thank you, Ageless :)

Hello,

I am trying to suspend and run boinc in linux using boinc_cmd command. It seemed to work yesterday, but when I tried to do it today it gave me that authorization failure. Any idea what it means? Thank you.

Best, Renat.
