Einstein@home web site seems to be down.
Edit: Proxy Error
The proxy server could not handle the request
Reason: DNS lookup failure for: einstein11.aei.uni-hannover.de

In reply to Harri Liljeroos's message of 20 Dec 2024:
LHC@home web site has almost completely become empty. Only the banner and project name visible on every page I have a link to on my bookmarks. Example: https://lhcathome.cern.ch/lhcathome/server_status.php
Boinc servers are responding normally though.
Everything working normally for me there now.

OK. The problem seems to be only in Chrome (win10 & win11), Firefox displays the page content normally.
Edit: Can't login with Firefox. I get only an empty page after feeding my login info.
Edit2: Can't login with Edge either. It gives an error:
This page isn’t working right now
lhcathome.cern.ch can't currently handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500

Yep, but the button used to do the trick for those too and does work on project (at least LHC and old CPDN) sites but not here anymore.

It’s very often the background system tasks that steal your resources - windows updates, file indexer, McAfee, etc.
Thanks. So used to Linux and typing, "top" in a terminal that shows everything I didn't think of that.

I think that this was issue in WIndows 7 but Windows 10 does not have that selection anymore. It shows all tasks by default.

SETI's website & message bored (pun intended) are slower than molasses being poured in the Antarctica winter..

Someone needs to get the water cannon out and give it a good cleaning.

Seems to be much better now.

I am getting this on Seti Forums: SETI@home is temporarily shut down for maintenance. Please try again later.
Is it resurrection or just a final spasm?

Note that Windows task manager by default does not show the GPU calculation load (this is at least in Win10, I assume Win11 is the same). There are 4 graph panels under Performance tab for GPU. On top left corner there is text what each panel is showing. You have to select Cuda from the list to see crunching load.

The certification was updated a couple of days ago. So the site is working normally at the moment.
