I don't know the why.... all that is a bit strange...but now it works correctly and I'm happy for this :) Thank you

My machine configuration is the same of the last days (automatic updates are disabled, so I can save ram and Cpu) and also in firewall configuration... I'm going to try to uninstall Boinc and clean registry,hard disk... another time and make some checks (to be sure that there were not any changes on my machine). I hope to return here with good news

Can you help me? Boinc version is 5.4.11.0, on Windows Xp Pro services pack 2
4) Message boards : BOINC Manager : Stop project switching until wu end (Message 5427) Posted 24 Aug 2006 by icefox Post: Only by crunching only one project, or by setting the preference "switch between applications" to something exorbitant high I also thinked that. but if, for example, I set switch between applications to 12hours and a WU end after 8 hours for the next 4 hours runs the same project, with a new WU, or starts another project? This is my doubt. I hope you posted on the project's forums about your troubles , yes I did that. It was a WCG WU. The "problem" (sorry, i wrote about problemS),was caused by a far checkpoint (after 50% and that WU needed 12hours) so every time boinc preempted it, all data was lost and WU restarted from 0% a few times until I discovered it and suspend the other projects until WU's end. So, now I can try only modifing switch between... thank you Ageless

6) Message boards : BOINC Manager : Boinc, sometimes, can not connect to localhost (Message 4623) Posted 2 Jun 2006 by icefox Post: Hi. sometimes, my boinc manager does not connect itself to localhost (in the down-right window is writted "disconnected" or "not connected"), but tasks run anyway. so, before shutdown my pc i must close them by task manager, but i think i lose processed data. what can i do? if after closed boing and tasks in execution i restart boinc it works well. i can't understand the why. i hope you can help me. My o.s. is Windows Xp pro, firewall jetico personal firewall. if you need more information, ask me them thanks in advanced
