Entries in client_state.xml are from BOINC itself.
So question is if and when BOINC rechecks it.

Working now !!!!

I found
    <p_vm_extensions_disabled>1</p_vm_extensions_disabled>

in client_state.xml. So Boinc shoutdown and removal of this line and Boinc restart.
Now VM's are downloaded.

VT-x is enabled in bios now, also shown in taskmanager and CPU-z, but I still do not get VM tasks.
And from https://sourcefinder.theskynet.org/duchamp/ project I get
04.10.2017 16:42:04 | duchamp | Nachricht vom Server: VirtualBox jobs require hardware acceleration support. Your processor does not support the required instruction set.

After enabling the flag in Bios, do have to do something additional to let Boinc fetch VM tasks?

I didn't set the bios password. It is an old laptop from my company, so I have to ask there.

Not even one VM task was downloaded.
I assumer that BOINC checks if virtualisation is enabled or not and either do not send VBox capabilities to the server or sends to the server that virtualisation is disabled.
In both cases the server doesn't send any VM task.

Ok, thanks.
Taskmanager shows Virtualization: Disabled :(

So I have to find out how to get into the Bios.

Would be good if BOINC could tell a bit more in the message box about it.

Just a quick sanity check...

1) VT-X is enabled in the Bios ?
2) The tag <p_vm_extensions_disabled> (if present) isn't set to 1 in cc_config.xml ?

1) Can I check this without going into the BIOS? I lost the BIOS password. But this might be a good reason.
2) is not set.

Hello,

I do not get any VM Task from e.g. lhcdev and don't see why. VirtualBox is properly detected.
Is there some config entry to allow/forbid VM tasks?

Here the startup log:

11) Message boards : API : How to make the WrapperApp to work?

I tested what you send me. You started boinc with --exit_before_start. In this case everything is in your slot folder. Some of the files are sym links to the project folder.

I resolved the symlinks by copying the files from projects folder into the slot folder.
Than I started the wrapper on the command line.
The zip file was unziped and the folders doc and plugins and files in these folders were created.
So UNZIP SUBFOLDERS WORKS!

Afterwards phoenix.exe was started.

You can also, what I did because there was no unzip possibility in the wrapper in the past, add an additional TASK in your job.xml which runs the unzip. But with this you must deliver the unzip binary also in your application.

Please run your boinc with --exit_before_start and run a workunit. Boinc will setup the slot directory and exits before starting the wu.

Than send me the slot folder and the project folder.

Check if you have everything what you expect in the slot folder.
Than you can just copy over the wrapper from the project folder into the slot folder and run it.
Afterwards check the std* files.

I'm already attached to this project and get workunits from time to time. But most of them finishes with error.

You must link the boinc api and boinc lib together with your object file.

You have to compile the crypt_prog separately.

This is solved in the latest wrapper.

That is not really a problem. Boinc distinguish between the physical name of a file (there you can include also version numbers) and the logical name of a file which is seen by your application.
So in your case physical name is like my.dll.0301 and logical name is my.dll. You can also configure that the dll and your app is copied into the slot folder and you have everything with the right name in the folder where Boinc starts the app.

Your application has to report the fraction done to Boinc using the Boinc API.

Ok, thanks for the hint.
I did it in the same manner as SIMAP.
