I received a notice that a new version of BOINIC is available and I just tried to download the new version and I received a 404 not found message. The rest of the page says: Not Found The requested URL was not found on this server. Apache/2.4.29 (Ubuntu) Server at boinc.berkeley.edu Port 443 I am using Windows 11 My current BOINC is 7.20.2 wxWidgets Version 3.1.7 |

Hi All, Thank you all for your help. I was able to reach someone who was able to help me. The USB stick I was using actually broke so there was no way to access the data. What was suggested (and worked) is that I just insert 2nd USB stick and then try to install BOINC and it worked. This has been solved and is complete. |

Hi, I had BOINC installed on a USB stick and it was damaged and I no longer have access to the BOINC files saved on it. I am trying to reinstall BOINC and I receive a message Error 1327: Invalid Drive D. I have done a search of all my drives (minus the D drive which the USB stick was installed in) to try to remove any BOINC files left but I have a few files that I cannot remove so I don't know if those are part of the problem. How do I fix this error message so that I can reinstall BOINC? Thanks for the help. Debi |

Thanks for trying to help but what you provided is beyond my understanding. Unfortunately, I guess I will have to just put up with the manager opening on my desktop instead of opening in the tray like it used to, which is very disappointing. Maybe whoever created this will see my comment and will fix this in a later version. |

Hi, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, that is not what I am referring to. I apologize for not being clearer. Let me try explaining again. This is the way BOINC worked for me until several months ago. Every night I check my computer for virus' and I restart my computer. I have BOINC set up to start running when I restart my computer. Once my computer starts back up my startup programs all load and I would see the BOINC program in the tray area on the taskbar all loaded and running. Now I have the BOINC Manager open on my desktop and then start to load all my selections to start running. I now have to close the BOINC Manager. I just want BOINC back to where when I restart my computer, it loads, starts and then appears in my tray area on the taskbar. I've tried going to Options/Other Options and I don't see the option to start BOINC running minimized to the tray any longer. Did it move? |

Hi, When I restart my computer I have BOINC set to start up, but now it also opens the manager box, which I dislike. How do I stop the BOINC Manager from opening on desktop and just open in tray area? BOINC Manager Version: 7.14.2 (x64) wxWidgets Version 3.0.1 Windows 10 - current on all updates |

Hi, I just upgraded to BOINC 7.10.2 (x64) and I have the BIONC Screensaver appearing instead of my regular screensaver. I am using Windows 10 so I go to personalize, background (I don't have screensaver as an option) I have slideshow selected and where I have the option to select my screensaver I do not see BIONC as a choice. Under choose your albums for slideshow I see Camera Roll, which is where I have my screensaver pictures saved. So how do I stop the BIONC screensaver? Thanks |
