BOINC 5.4.9 is released

Posted 16 May 2006 by Stanley Rose Post: Hovering, while easy, still requires "doing something." A better solution (at least to me) is to have the actual icon change. Symantec does this with their Anti-Virus and Firewall products so it is obvious that they are suspended. Stan Along with the snooze and/or suspend option, it would be helpful if the tray icon (in Windows) indicated that it was in those modes so it isn't accidentally left that way. |

Posted 15 May 2006 by Stanley Rose Post: Yup, that fixed it - thanks. I did a repair install of 5.2.13 and then the 5.4.9 install went right through. Stan |

Posted 15 May 2006 by Stanley Rose Post: There seems to be a bad WindowsXP boinc.msi file. I downloaded the 5.4.9 installation package and about 80% through the validation of the install package step it fails, reporting that it cannot find a valid boinc.msi. Even when I browse to the directory with the file (which it sees) it will not accept it as valid. Any ideas? Thanks, Stan |
