Great! It's now installed as a service.

Thanks for your help everyone.

Find the BOINC entry and remove it. (leave the BOINC folder alone, don't go deleting it by hand or anything!)

So if I uninstall BOINC, it'll leave the settings and work-in-progress in place?

Yes, simply start the installation again and specify 'Service' mode. All settings and work in progress will be preserved.

Thanks, but I've already tried that. The installer gives me options to 'Repair' or 'Remove' BOINC, and 'Repair' doesn't ask for the mode again.

Client version is 5.2.13.

Hi All,

I installed the Windows client (on XP SP2) in 'Sigle-user' mode, but would now ideally like to run it as a service instead.

Is there an easy way to change mode without losing all my settings and work in progress?

Thanks in advance,
Greg.
