1) Message boards : Questions and problems : Boinc Manager freezing after CPU upgrade (Message 113309) Posted 23 Dec 2023 by DaedalusWren Post: I upgraded my CPU from an AMD 3800XT to a 5950X and ever since, Boinc Manager will freeze after running for about a half an hour. The projects being worked on at the time continue to run in the background until they are complete, then they fail to upload or start any more projects. When running on the 3800XT, there was no issues at all and it would run for days on end. With the much more powerful 5950X it fails constantly. I have updated all drivers including chip set. Everything else works flawlessly, except Boinc. I have tried a repair to the program and still have the same results. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
